Sergio Agüero – Manchester City & Argentina
FIFA 15 Rating – 86
Predicted FIFA 16 Rating – 88
Sergio Agüero has had another successful, but trophy-less season, at Manchester City. Twenty five goals in 32 appearances for City has put Agüero in prime position to be the Premier Leagues top goal scorer for the first time this season. An outstanding six goals in seven appearances in the Champions League was not enough however, to stop City being knocked out of the tournament at the last 16 stage by Barcelona. A sharp and clever attacker, Agüero is comfortable playing a lone striker role or in a partnership up front. Stocky and diminutive, with impressive pace and agility, he has been compared to fellow countryman Carlos Tevez.
After playing in all of Argentina’s World Cup games last summer, Agüero and his countrymen will be looking to go one step further at this summers Copa America.
With questions over whether Manuel Pellegrini will remain manager at City over the summer, whoever is manager, will find they have one of the best attackers in European football at their disposal. Agüero and City will be looking to regain their Premier League title next season and to also make more of an impact in the Champions League – with a few tactical signings these could both become a reality.
